Frequently Asked Questions

When do organisers receive payouts?
New organisers: 100% held until 3 days after event. Established organisers: 50% released 7 days before event (if sales exceed UGX 1M), 50% at 3–5 days post-event.
Are there fees for free events?
Yes — a flat fee of UGX 2,000–5,000 per ticket applies to cover operational costs. This is charged to the buyer.
What happens if I need to cancel or refund?
Amet Tickets always retains a 5–10% refund reserve for 30 days post-event. Refund policies are set per event by the organiser and enforced by Amet.
Is there a setup fee?
No. Creating an account and listing events is completely free. You only pay when tickets are sold — commission is taken from collected revenue.
How do installment payments work?
Buyers can split ticket payments over time (with a +1% handling fee). Organisers see partial payments clearly in their dashboard and get full payouts post-event.
What payment methods are supported?
MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, Visa, and Mastercard. All transactions are secured and encrypted end-to-end.
